Sales Representative

Promote the company's products and services through outside sales Build relationships with new and existing accounts Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business Seek and qualify prospects within the assigned territory Research customer needs and develop product and service mixes Evaluate market trends and recommend products Provide customers with market, product, pricing, and competitor information Answer questions about products, prices, availability, and product use Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel Drive personal vehicle to customer accounts, conventions, and company meetings Communicate and collect accounts receivable with the credit department and clients Manage deliveries and troubleshoot order-process issues Participate in company functions, promotions, customer visits, and events Attend sales and district meetings and ongoing training sessions Assist with training new employees Review and analyze sales, order, bid, and gross-profit reports Prepare sales budgets and reports, maintain sales records, process credits and pickup requests, prepare sales quotes and menu suggestions, and file reports Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR HSD/GED and 3 years of Restaurant Management, B2B or outside sales experience, or equivalent relatable experience including completion of the Sysco Sales Internship Valid driver's license with a driving record meeting company insurability standards Current automobile insurance with required liability limits Pass employment testing Must sign Sysco Protective Covenants Agreement Reside or be willing to relocate to the geographical vicinity of the territory Basic PC skills and proficiency with MS Office Ability to read, write, and speak English Bilingual preferred Restaurant Management, Foodservice Outside Sales, and Chef Experience preferred Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in outside sales, relationship building, and market analysis, with a strong focus on customer needs and product training.
