Medical Assistant Otolaryngology

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant will provide clinical support in an Otolaryngology outpatient clinic, assisting with patient care activities such as rooming patients, performing autoclaving and high-level disinfecting, and supporting providers in a fast-paced environment. This temporary-to-hire position requires at least six months of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in an adult outpatient or ENT setting, with a commitment to potentially join the clinic permanently. Responsibilities:

• Room patients and assist providers during clinical visits.
• Perform autoclaving and high-level disinfecting of medical instruments and equipment.
• Support patient flow and clinic operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Float between Otolaryngology clinics within the local area as needed.
• Document patient information and clinical activities using EPIC electronic health records.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• At least 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant in an adult outpatient setting (ENT experience preferred).
• MA-C preferred; MA-R acceptable.
• Ability to perform clinical tasks including instrument sterilization and patient rooming.
• Familiarity with EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems.
• Local candidate willing to work in Seattle-area clinics.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working in an Otolaryngology (ENT) clinic setting.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Special Considerations:

• This is a TEMP TO HIRE opportunity; candidates must be open to permanent employment after the contract period.
• No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements.
• Floating between Issaquah and Ballard Otolaryngology clinics may be required.
• Strictly local candidates only.

Scheduling:

• Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts.
• No weekend or holiday shifts.
