Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice Certifications: - CPR or BLS certification from an approved vendor - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor Must-Have: - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred Description: Located off the beautiful Oregon Coast, this facility has been one of the area's leading healthcare providers since 1950. It is comprised of a critical access medical center, rural health, urgent care medical offices, home care services, and a wide scope of services. The Registered Nurse delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. This role supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines. The Registered Nurse utilizes critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Essential functions include collecting relevant data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation. Analyzing assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Developing a care plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implementing the plan, coordinating care delivery, and employing strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluating progress toward attaining outcomes and identifying outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare providers is key to providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Providing learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members is essential. Direct health information is provided to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participation in discharge planning ensures continuity of care. Appropriate delegation and coordination of duties among healthcare team members are required. Additional job-related duties may be assigned as needed. All associates are required to receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable.
