Please see the link below to the new Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse Education and Awareness website, implemented under House Bill 531 (2025): Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor The Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor assists the Director of Nursing; plans, develops, organizes, and coordinates day-to-day functions of the nursing department. Major Duties and Critical Tasks Plan, develop, organize, implement, and direct nursing services for residents on the floor assigned. Ensure compliance with current applicable federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies and procedures. Review complaints and grievances made or filed by staff; make appropriate reports to the Director of Nursing as required. Ensure an adequate stock of medications, medical supplies, equipment, etc., is always maintained on the unit to adequately meet the needs of the resident and notify appropriate personnel of needs. Assist in the development of written preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of each resident. Make nursing/aide assignments as indicated. Encourage staff to attend and participate in outside training programs and schedule times as appropriate. Education and Experience A nursing degree from an accredited college or university. Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing direct care in long‑term care, restorative or geriatric settings. Minimum one (1) year of experience as a nursing supervisor, preferably in a nursing home setting. Current CPR Certification.
