Senior Building Surveyor An opportunity has arisen for a Building Surveyor to join our Building Consultancy department in Birmingham. The team deals with a range of investor clients, including Mileway, Hammerson plc , Aviva, Legal & General, RLAM, RailPen and Aberdeen Standard Investments, corporate occupier clients such as Barclays and Bunzl.The successful candidate will join a busy regional office and be working alongside other internal departments such as Investment, Agency, Managed Services, Valuations, Lease Advisory, Planning and Rating, to provide holistic, commercial advice to our clients.We are looking for an outward-looking, ‘all-rounder’ Building Surveyor with a sense of ‘team spirit’ and an ambition to deliver excellence.What this job involvesUndertaking Building Surveyor's inspections and preparing reportsPreparing specifications for, and administering, repair and refurbishment contractsPreparing and negotiating schedules of dilapidations/preparing exit strategiesPreparing planned preventative maintenance plansUndertaking building reinstatement cost assessmentsAssisting with co-ordination of portfolio instructions and undertaking other duties from time to time as may be reasonably requiredMaking sustainable business links with both external and internal clients and offering a professional and excellent client service at all timesSome travel will be required in this roleSound like you?
