What You'll Do

• Plan, schedule, and supervise the maintenance and repair of all heavy equipment and truck fleet (e.g., trucks, trailers, material handlers, loaders, forklifts, etc.)
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
• Coordinate with operations to minimize equipment downtime and ensure availability.
• Manage a team of mechanics, technicians, and support staff.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance personnel.
• Oversee workload distribution, performance, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Manage maintenance budget, including labor, parts, and outside services.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies; ensure timely ordering and replenishment.
• Negotiate with vendors for equipment, parts, and services
• Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to OSHA and company safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance history, inspections, and compliance documentation.
• Lead root cause analysis investigations for major equipment failures or safety incidents.
• Analyze equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Keep up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies.

What You'll Need

• Minimum 5 years maintenance experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Experience with Preventative/Planned Maintenance processes and procedures and ability to develop procedures and schedules preferred
• Ability to read and understand schematics, layout projects, locate prints and use maintenance technical manuals
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced continually changing environment
• Must be able to follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies, rules, and regulations.
• Possess a strong work ethic and practice safe working habits
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
