Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient. Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (i.e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner. Recognizes limits of scope of practice, seeks multidisciplinary collaboration, utilizes appropriate resources, and follows chain of command. Delegates tasks based on the needs of the patient, potential for harm, patient stability, task complexity, and outcome predictability within the scope of skill set and practice. Participates as a team member by utilizing team skills effectively on a daily basis. Uses knowledge of cultural differences to provide patient care that is sensitive to and consistent with cultural values, beliefs, and customs.
