Machine Shop Operator I

We strive to recruit the best talent in the industry and give employees opportunities for continuing education and training to help them advance in their careers.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform basic machining operations using hydraulic presses, drill presses, or iron workerWork in tandem with press and shear operators to shear and form metal partsPerform basic quality control checksPerform daily and/or weekly operator equipment maintenanceOperate cranes, hoists, and lift tables to load/unload materialLabel materials produced and scan shop orders within an ERP systemComply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.Protect Chamberlain Group's and Systems' reputation by keeping information confidential.Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as neededMinimum QualificationsNo minimum education requiredNo prior experience Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/32"Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 poundsAbility to stand, walk, and sit upAbility to use hand to finger, handle, or feelAbility to climb or balanceAbility to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawlAbility to reach with hands and armsAbility to talk or hearThe pay range for this position is $17.93 - $25.76/hr. Base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
