Program: Residential Group Homes for Children & Youth

SHIFTS AVAILABLE

Day Shift | Swing Shift | Night Shift | Overnight Shift

Shalva Haven, LLC is looking for dependable, compassionate, and energetic Direct Care Staff to join our residential care team. We provide a structured and supportive home environment for children and adolescents in care.

This is a hands-on position for individuals who enjoy working with youth and can provide structure, supervision, encouragement, and consistency while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Direct Care Staff member, you will:

• Provide direct supervision and support to youth in the home and community.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and positive living environment.
• Assist youth with daily routines, hygiene, meals, chores, and independent living skills.
• Participate in recreational, educational, and structured activities with youth.
• Transport youth to school, appointments, activities, and other approved locations as assigned.
• Support youth with healthy coping skills and positive decision-making.
• Use approved de-escalation and crisis-prevention techniques when necessary.
• Follow individual service plans, safety plans, house rules, and supervision requirements.
• Complete accurate and timely case notes, incident reports, medication documentation, and other required records.
• Assist with medication administration after completing required training.
• Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with all youth.
• Complete room checks, safety checks, household duties, and shift responsibilities.
• Communicate important information to incoming staff and management during shift changes.
• Immediately report safety concerns, suspected abuse or neglect, AWOL incidents, medication errors, and other significant events according to company policy.
• Follow all Shalva Haven policies, licensing requirements, confidentiality standards, and mandated reporting requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must:

• Be at least 21 years old .
• Have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card .
• Successfully pass required background checks .
• Maintain current CPR/First Aid certification .
• Maintain required CPI Crisis Prevention and Support certification or successfully complete required CPI training.
• Have a valid driver's license and meet Shalva Haven's transportation requirements.
• Be able to safely work with children and adolescents who may display challenging behaviors or experience emotional or behavioral crises.
• Be dependable and able to report to scheduled shifts on time.
• Be able to complete required documentation accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries.
• Complete all required orientation and ongoing training.

Previous experience in group homes, residential care, behavioral health, child welfare, education, human services, or working with children and adolescents is preferred.

Seasonal positions are ideal for qualified individuals looking for additional hours during school breaks, holidays, weekends, summer periods, and other high-coverage periods .
