Your Responsibilities
- Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering diagnostic tests, and developing personalized treatment plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses either in partnership with physicians or autonomously (as per credentialing)
- Providing education to patients and families regarding preventive care, wellness strategies, and chronic disease management
- Prescribing medications and therapies within your professional scope
- Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic care management
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, holistic care
- Accurately documenting all patient interactions within electronic health records (EHR)
Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Certification Requirements
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Texas
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or the ability to acquire within 90 days)
