Fire Alarm Technician

Our client is a leading fire, security, and communications integrator serving customers in enterprise, healthcare, education, government, data center, and retail. They design, install, service, and maintain fire alarm systems, critical communications, video surveillance, access control, and audiovisual technology, with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and service.
They are looking for a skilled, motivated Fire Alarm Technician to join their security team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Install, service, and test fire alarm and burglar alarm systems.
- Provide customers with equipment documentation and training.
- Install and upgrade new systems according to manufacturer requirements.
- Complete system installations efficiently and profitably.
- Hold or obtain the State of Nevada "F" card certification.
- Read and follow floor plans for installation and testing.
- Keep accurate system testing records and handle related internal communication.
- Supervise electrical subcontractors installing fire alarm cable and equipment within the project scope.
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years of fire alarm service experience
- Customer service experience
- Knowledge of NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code) and NFPA 101 (Life Safety Code)
- Familiarity with inspection procedures
- Commitment to working safely and professionally
- Working knowledge of Notifier, DMP, Bosch, Fire-Lite, and Honeywell systems preferred
- Experience programming fire alarm systems
- Availability for on-call work and overtime as needed
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 construction certification
- NICET Level II certification
- Notifier troubleshooting and programming experience
