Respiratory Therapist

We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Lawton, OK where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis, administering and monitoring respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy and mechanical ventilation, educating patients and families on disease management and equipment use, collaborating with the healthcare team to develop care plans, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current Oklahoma state respiratory therapist license in good standing.
• One year experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• BLS certification.
• Experience performing pulmonary function testing and arterial blood gas analysis.
• Experience with mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• CPR instructor or advanced certifications in respiratory care.
• Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary care teams and with sleep study procedures.
