Staff Accountant

Staff AccountantKennebunkport Resort Collection is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team supporting our luxury hospitality properties. This position plays a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of daily operations across multiple resort locations.The Staff Accountant will divide their time between Accounts Payable responsibilities (approximately one-third of the role) and General Ledger and revenue accounting functions. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, comfortable working with financial systems, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.Key Responsibilities:Daily Accounting Functions:Complete daily revenue processing and reconciliation across assigned propertiesPerform daily bank reconciliations following revenue postingsMaintain accuracy and consistency in financial reporting and transaction recordsAccounts Payable (Approximately 1/3 of Workload):Process and maintain Accounts Payable for Kennebunkport Resort Collection using OttimateManage and process AP check runsReview and approve invoices for paymentVerify invoice entries for accuracy and codingSet up and maintain vendor records in OttimateEnsure all vendor W-9 forms are collected and maintainedSupport year-end 1099 processingEnsure AP transactions are processed efficiently and on scheduleMonth-End Responsibilities:Reconcile Cash Depository AccountsReconcile Guest Ledger AccountsReconcile Advance Deposit Ledgers for assigned revenue propertiesManage Sales & Use Tax filings for applicable propertiesAssist with Site Safe audit requirementsPrepare and maintain various corporate accounting schedulesSystems & Software Used:The Staff Accountant will regularly work within multiple accounting and hospitality systems, including:AccumaticaOttimateProfitSwordStay 'n TouchAireusToastMicrosoft ExcelQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or multi-entity environmentsExperience with Accounts Payable and General Ledger accountingStrong reconciliation and analytical skillsProficiency in Microsoft ExcelAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesStrong attention to detail and accuracyExperience with ERP or accounting software systems preferredAbout Kennebunkport Resort Collection:The Kennebunkport Resort Collection is a portfolio of diverse, luxurious lodging and dining options offering stylish and unique hospitality in Kennebunk and Kennebunkport.
