Job Description Conducts behavioral health evaluations to determine the most appropriate treatment for adult patients starting at age 18 years, who have graduated high school and older. Conduct initial biopsychosocial assessments for patients seeking acute behavioral health services to determine need for treatment of behavioral issues. Complete and analyze evidence-based screening tools and assessments. Provide individual and group counseling for patients. Develop treatment plans, including clear problem statements, treatment goal(s), and usable, relevant objectives for a range of behavioral health concerns. Manage caseloads comprised of moderate to high acuity patients. Conduct multiple psychoeducational, therapeutic and skills groups and individual therapy services. Collaborate with other mental health and educational professionals to coordinate care. Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient documentation records. Work within a multi‑disciplinary team to evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay current on best practices in the field of behavioral health. Complete all mandatory AHS trainings and competencies as assigned. Qualifications Master's degree in social work, psychology, or counseling. LSW required; LCSW or LPC license highly preferred. Previous higher‑level‑care clinical/counseling experience with adult population. Being bilingual is a plus. Competencies Demonstrates ability to conduct biopsychosocial assessments and screen effectively for suicide, violence risk, abuse and neglect. Training and experience in didactic behavioral and/or cognitive‑behavioral therapy preferred. Ability to multi‑task, organize and prioritize workload. Ability to work within a team as well as independently to make complex decisions with high accuracy. Develops individualized treatment plans with measurable, patient‑centered goals using evidence‑based therapeutic approaches appropriate to the presenting problem(s). Builds rapport and trust quickly with a range of patients, using active listening skills, reflective statements and non‑judgemental language, conveying understanding and acceptance without reinforcing maladaptive behaviors. Maintains clear, timely and accurate clinical notes that meet legal and departmental standards, while managing caseload effectively.
