Cost Accountant

Title : Senior Cost Accountant Location : Hudson, WI | (Onsite with flexibility) Job Type : Permanent/Direct-Hire Compensation : $85,000-110,000 Annually Industry : Manufacturing About The Role Our client, a leading manufacturer of medical devices and regulated consumer products, is seeking a Cost Accountant to support their North American Operations. This role plays a key part in evaluating manufacturing costs, improving financial processes, and supporting data-driven decision-making across highly regulated production environments. The position offers a diverse workload, broad cross-functional exposure, and the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative medical technologies. Job Description In this role, you will support manufacturing operations by managing costing data, conducting financial and variance analyses, and partnering with cross functional teams to ensure accurate cost standards. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and estimating teams to develop costing insights that drive better planning and performance. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain costing master data within SAP to accurately reflect manufacturing and procurement costs Support ongoing cost accounting activities, reporting, and analysis Participate in annual overhead and labor rate development Conduct program cost study analyses to ensure accurate standard costs Provide KPI analysis to help plant teams identify root causes of manufacturing variances Use standard costing to support financial and operational planning, including labor and capacity planning Participate in analysis and project work across multiple organizational levels Partner with cost estimating teams to calculate costs for new business opportunities Engage in ongoing cost accounting activities, reporting and analysis Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration Experience in an accounting or finance role Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Preferred Experience working with an ERP system (SAP preferred) Experience presenting to groups and communicating across organizational levels Experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with data analysis tools such as Power BI or Tableau Benefits Our client offers a comprehensive benefits program that supports the physical, financial, and emotional wellbeing of employees and their families.
