Physical Therapist-Per Diem (Inpatient Rehab)

Employment Type: Part time. Shift: Rotating Shift. Responsibilities Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformity for patients. Administer manual exercises, massage, and/or traction to relieve pain and reduce deformity. Discharge patients from physical therapy when goals or projected outcomes have been attained, providing appropriate follow‑up care or referrals. Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages, adjusting treatments to achieve maximum benefit. Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation. Inform patients when diagnostic findings are outside scope and refer to appropriate practitioners. Instruct patients and families on treatment procedures to continue at home. Prepare and carry out individualized physical treatment programs to maintain, improve, or restore physical function, alleviate pain and prevent dysfunction. Record prognosis, treatment, response, and progress in patient charts or enter data into computer. Review physician's referral and patient records to help determine diagnosis and required PT treatment. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy. Experience & Skills New graduates and experienced PTs welcome. Licensure/Certification Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Florida. BLS certification through American Heart Association. Education Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
