Kahn 3 Medical Stepdown Fellowship

Kahn 3 Medical Stepdown Fellowship provides experienced RNS with a supportive in depth professional development program focused on high acuity skills.

• Robust 8 week orientation
• Enrollment in Critical Care Course
• Enrollment in Cardiac Dysthymia Course
• Hands on and Group Training
• Fellowship begins on days and moves to nights at mid point of orientation

Principal Accountabilities:

• Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
• Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
• Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
• Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
• Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.
• Records patient vital signs and medical information.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification.
• 2 years of Acute Care Nursing Experience

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• All ASN must complete their BSN studies within five years of their start date.
• Master's degree in nursing or related field.
• ACLS certification.
