Tech - Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures within the Cath Lab. Collaborate with interventional teams to ensure safe, effective, and quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established protocols and philosophies.
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and monitor patients continuously during procedures to detect any abnormalities.
• Assist with scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring during cardiac catheterization and EP procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, post-care instructions, and health management.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care, procedures, and patient responses in MediTech EMR.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience.
• Be able to interpret cardiac rhythms confidently.
• Hold an active AR Radiologic Technologist License.
• Maintain current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in MediTech EMR documentation and skills relevant to the specialty.
• Provide two supervisory reference forms from within the last two years.
