Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager – Municipal Infrastructure

Location: Glastonbury, Connecticut
Salary: $133,189–$162,000 annually
Signing Bonus: $2,500

Temp A Veteran is recruiting an experienced  Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager on behalf of our client in the Glastonbury, Connecticut, area.

In this role, you will lead municipal infrastructure projects, manage client relationships, and guide technical teams from planning and design through permitting and project completion. Projects include civil infrastructure, site planning, water and wastewater systems, and infrastructure design.

Responsibilities

  • Lead municipal infrastructure projects while meeting scope, schedule, budget, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Connecticut municipal, civil, water, and wastewater clients.
  • Prepare and oversee engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Establish project scopes, schedules, work plans, budgets, and fees.
  • Monitor project financial performance, progress, and quality.
  • Supervise and review the work of engineers, technicians, and designers.
  • Delegate responsibilities, provide technical guidance, and mentor team members.
  • Identify business-development opportunities and expand existing client relationships.
  • Collaborate across teams to coordinate resources and deliver successful projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Civil Engineering preferred.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • At least 15 years of related engineering and project management experience.
  • Documented experience serving municipal, civil, water, or wastewater clients in Connecticut.
  • Proficiency with  AutoCAD and Civil 3D .
  • Strong project management, client relationship, technical leadership, and mentoring skills.
  • Strong mathematical, technical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to commute to or relocate to Glastonbury, Connecticut, before starting.

An advanced degree in a related field is desirable.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary range is $133,189–$162,000 . Actual compensation will depend on relevant experience, location, market conditions, education, training, certifications, credentials, skills, and demonstrated proficiency.
