Certified Lab Assistant Job ID: 2026-1798 Category: Laboratory Services Shift: Per Diem, non-benefited Nature and Scope The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for all pre‑analytical aspects of specimen collection, receiving specimens, handling and processing specimens to include sending specimens to reference laboratories. This includes transferring ordered tests to the Laboratory Information System (LIS) or appropriate lab slips, processing billing information and charging, and performing the lab’s clerical and phone duties. Location 1065 Bucks Lake Road, Quincy, CA 95971. Compensation Base Pay Range: $28.24 - $40.26 per hour. Salary is based on a 13‑point pay scale with up to 30 years of relevant experience. Qualifications Education: California Phlebotomy License. Experience: Two years experience working with publics. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Phlebotomy, Laboratory terminology, Computer keyboard skills. Responsibilities Proficient use of the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and Hospital Information System (HIS). Proficient use of glucometer. Friendly and encouraging attitude toward all patients. Monitor patient waiting room while performing tasks inside the lab, courteously informing patients if there is a wait. Promptly answer the phone, identifying self and department.
