Line Cook Opportunity At The Albany Hilton The Albany Hilton has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Line Cook. This position will be a full-time evening position; typical hours will range from 4pm to 12:30am; reporting directly to the head chef of the hotel. Responsibilities Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and standards. Ensure food quality and presentation meets customer expectations. Maintain clean and organized kitchen workstations and equipment. Follow food safety and sanitation procedures to prevent food-borne illnesses. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service. Monitor food inventory and communicate with management to order supplies. Adapt to changing menus, food requests, and special dietary needs. Identify and report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs. Stay up to date on industry trends and advancements in cooking techniques. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of cooking in a fast-paced environment; preference will be given to those with hospitality experience. Completion of vocational school or a two-year associate degree; preferably in culinary. Excellent kitchen/restaurant administration knowledge and ability to work as part of team. Solid organizational, time-management and prioritization skills The ability to stand long periods of time on your feet and lift to 50lbs.
