Position Purpose: The Shop Laborer supports daily manufacturing operations by maintaining clean and organized work areas, assisting operators, handling materials, and completing general shop tasks. This position helps the team work safely and efficiently while protecting equipment, materials, and product quality.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Ability to learn new tasks, follow instructions, and understand basic shop and production processes.
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a changing production environment.
• Forklift, material-handling, or fabrication-machinery experience is highly valued; required certifications may be completed after hire.
• Ability to communicate hazards, shortages, and work concerns promptly and clearly.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: This position works in an active manufacturing environment and may be exposed to noise, dust, dirt, moving machinery, forklifts, sharp materials, temperature changes, and outdoor weather. The employee must be able to stand and walk for extended periods; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, grasp, push, and pull; and safely lift and move up to 75 pounds, using assistance or approved equipment when appropriate. Required personal protective equipment must be worn.

Travel and Schedule: This is a full-time position. No routine travel is expected. Overtime or schedule changes may be required based on production needs.
