Software Asset Manager

Owning the lifecycle management of software licenses, the full-time remote Software Asset and License Manager will ensure compliance, manage renewals, and coordinate procurement processes for a complex cloud platform supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. Key responsibilities Procures, manages, tracks, and renews software licenses while maintaining accurate records of license counts and associated costs Delivers monthly Software License Accounting reports and provides advance notifications for upcoming renewals and licensing risks Coordinates with government personnel and vendors to ensure seamless license lifecycle management and compliance with VA Technical Reference Model processes Required qualifications Bachelor's Degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field 3 years of experience in software asset management, IT procurement, and license compliance Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) preferred Excellent experience managing enterprise software license portfolios and compliance reporting Above average knowledge of software tools for license management, such as ServiceNow or Flexera
