New Graduate Engineer, Software Security

Responsibilities

• Design and build security-critical infrastructure for Starlink
• Develop security features for Starlink routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites
• Design security into factory processes and provide supporting network services
• Maintain production systems and improve their security posture through implementation and recommendations
• Build prototypes and identify, design, and test security improvements
• Support secure and reliable Internet access for underserved communities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM discipline
• Graduation in the class of 2026 or 2027
• Experience with at least one software development language, such as Python, C++, or Golang
• Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other enterprise-scale infrastructure
• Preferred experience designing secure systems and contributing security improvements to complex systems
• Preferred experience with Trusted Platform Modules and Hardware Security Modules
• Preferred skills in applied cryptography, network security, operating system security, secure or authenticated boot, incident response, adversary detection, or vulnerability research
• Advanced degree in a technical or engineering discipline is preferred
• Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed
• Must satisfy applicable ITAR work authorization requirements
