Contract | Full-Time | Days | 3×12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a complex medical unit managing conditions such as complicated UTI/pneumonia, sepsis, pancreatitis, and altered mental status
• Support a research unit environment approximately half of the month, with the remainder dedicated to complex medical nursing care
• Manage and monitor patients with tracheostomies , PEG tubes, and peritoneal dialysis as needed
• Perform IV starts and PICC line management and assess patients using the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Participate in research protocols, which may include observation and monitoring of research study participants

Required Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia or compact eligibility
• Strong Medical-Surgical nursing skills are required
• Demonstrated competency with tracheostomy care , NIHSS assessment , IV starts , and PICC line management
• Ability to work effectively in both research and complex medical care settings

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with peritoneal dialysis (PD)
• Prior exposure to research unit environments or clinical research protocols
• Experience caring for patients with sepsis, pancreatitis, or PEG tube management
