Onsite hospital-based IR supporting comprehensive interventional procedures, vascular interventions, and oncology support.

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an Interventional Radiologist for an ongoing locum tenens position supporting a hospital-based IR department in Panama City, Florida. This role involves delivering a broad scope of inpatient interventional procedures within a facility equipped for high-volume drainage, biopsy, vascular, and oncologic support, including specialized vascular and embolization interventions. The position offers a consistent schedule, with seven days per week from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST, complemented by daily call coverage and holiday support when available.

Schedule Details

• 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST
• IR call available daily (Monday through Sunday)
• Coverage includes major and minor holidays when available

Clinical Scope

• Onsite IR procedures including drainage, biopsy, vascular interventions, and oncologic support
• High-volume drainage procedures: abscess drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis
• Biopsy procedures: soft tissue, lymph nodes, bone, liver, lung
• Vascular procedures: angiography, embolization, PICC, tunneled lines, central access, biliary interventions
• Oncology support via image-guided biopsies and access procedures
• Provides inpatient consults and procedural support for oncology programs
• Extensive image-guided interventions with inpatient focus
• PowerScribe 4.0 and RPCE tech support for reporting and documentation

Practice Environment

This hospital-based IR department supports comprehensive inpatient consults and a broad spectrum of image-guided interventions. Equipped for vascular and oncologic procedures, the environment is focused on diverse, high-volume case management with extensive vascular and embolization capabilities. The department utilizes advanced dictation and reporting technologies, supporting efficient workflow and procedural diversity.

Requirements

• Active MD license; Florida license accepted
• Board Certified in Interventional Radiology
