Senior Accountant

Join a leading organization as a Senior Accountant, responsible for managing financial operations across multiple communities in Connecticut. This roleoffersa competitive salary range of $80,000 to $90,000, plus a 10% annual bonus target and great benefits. The role provides a blend of remote work and onsite visits, fostering strong relationships with community personnel while supporting financial accuracy and compliance. Key Details This role involves traveling to the organization’s properties within Connecticut for two weeks during each month The time not visiting properties can be worked remotely, with the exception of an annual meeting in Waltham, MA Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting and month-end close processes for assigned communities. Prepare and review monthly financial packages, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Reconcile complex accounts such as real estate taxes and expenses. Provide training and ongoing support to community personnel on financial procedures and reporting. Maintain detailed work papers and support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Conduct financial reviews and coordinate with community staff to gather necessary data. Visit communities periodically to build relationships and provide financial training. Credentials Valid accounting or finance degree from an accredited college or university. At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience. Required Skills & Experience Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel Experience with accounting, billing, and payroll software (e.g., accounting software, ADP) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills & Experience Experience working with real estate or senior living communities is a plus Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance procedures Ability to handle complex financial analysis and reconciliations #J-18808-Ljbffr ProPivotal
