Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician on the B Shift, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and repair of equipment within our manufacturing facility. You will play a vital role in diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and maintaining equipment to meet production goals.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and inspect equipment and components to diagnose and repair failures, and reassemble equipment after maintenance.
• Perform repair and installation of parts, machines, and equipment, including bearings, gears, power components, and various drive and control systems.
• Contact equipment manufacturers or vendors for technical support assistance.
• Record production, repair, and maintenance information, and complete work orders, purchase orders, or maintenance summary reports.
• Modify, engineer, or fabricate tools and equipment using soldering and welding techniques.
• Collect and discard worn machine parts and maintain machinery and work areas.
• Maintain inventory of parts, hardware, and tools, and communicate with vendors for replenishment.
• Calibrate equipment electronically and mechanically.
• Assist with spill containment and clean-up.
• Perform maintenance as per the established preventative maintenance program.
• Provide backup support for other maintenance shifts or positions as needed.
• Oversee and perform daily housekeeping duties in the maintenance shop.
• Follow and comply with all health and safety rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; automotive supplier experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with robotic cells and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of LOTO and industrial safety standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical systems strongly preferred.
• 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including off-shift support as needed.

Work Environment

This role is based inside a newer manufacturing facility focusing on automotive production. The B Shift operates from 4:30 PM to 2:00 AM, providing a unique opportunity to work in a modern, well-equipped environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Bloomingdale, GA.

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
