General Production Worker

Job Title: General Production Worker (Day Shift) $20/hr!

Job Description

This entry-level production role focuses on assembling large industrial battery casings and supporting high-quality manufacturing processes in a modern, state-of-the-art facility. You will work primarily on the day shift, Monday through Thursday from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with the ability to train on first shift and transition to second shift as needed. The position requires consistent time on your feet, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established production and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work with team members to assemble the exterior casing of large industrial application batteries according to production specifications and safety standards.
• Operate production and machine equipment as directed, ensuring safe and efficient operation throughout the shift.
• Work independently to perform quality work by measuring and inspecting parts using appropriate tools, such as tape measures, to confirm accuracy and adherence to specifications.
• Document part orders, production counts, and inspection notes clearly and accurately on product documentation and related forms.
• Perform general labor duties as assigned, including material handling, organizing work areas, and supporting overall production flow.
• Follow all standard operating procedures, quality guidelines, and safety protocols while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Collaborate with supervisors and coworkers to identify and report any issues with parts, equipment, or processes that could impact quality or production.

Essential Skills

• At least 6 months of manufacturing production experience.
• Ability to work on your feet for 8–10 hours per day.
• Ability to train on first shift and then move to second shift as required.
• Experience with production and general labor tasks in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform basic machine operation and machine operating tasks safely.
• Ability to assemble components accurately by following instructions and diagrams.
• Ability to perform quality control tasks, including visual inspections and measurements.
• Proficiency in using a tape measure to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document orders and inspection notes clearly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in assembly work, particularly in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Background in quality control or quality inspection activities.
• Comfort working both independently and as part of a production team.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Willingness to perform a variety of general labor duties to support production needs.

Work Environment

The role is based in a beautiful, new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Weirton, WV. The environment is climate controlled and well lit, providing a comfortable and safe setting for production work. You will work a day shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with the expectation to train on first shift and transition to second shift as needed. The facility features modern production and machine equipment, organized work areas, and clear safety and quality procedures to support efficient and consistent operations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Steubenville, OH.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
