Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Ensure the comfort and safety of patients during procedures by clearly explaining each step with empathy and care
• Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure optimal diagnostic imaging
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment effectively, reporting any issues immediately
• Document procedures accurately and keep patient records updated within the electronic medical records system
• Mentor in continuous learning to stay updated with advancements in ultrasound techniques and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a similar field
• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent credential
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
