In this role you will work with children and adolescents (ages 6-21) diagnosed with developmental disabilities and co-occurring psychiatric concerns within the residential environment.Registered Nurse/ Licensed Practical Nurse Responsibilities:Provide compassionate driven care.Complete health assessments following safety interventions.Triaging illness and injury reportsImplementing and following care plansCommunicating with parents/guardians, and other relevant community stakeholdersIntervene in crisis situations, including physical management of residents, using approved crisis management system and skills.Complete all documentation by the end of shift.An ideal candidate for this position has:Knowledge of:Professional nursing theory and practice.Internal working relationships of the facility staffAccrediting standards and regulationsAbility to:Administer a nursing care programDirect and coordinate the application of nursing care techniques to person’s served situationsMaintain a helpful and sympathetic attitude toward persons’ served under trying conditions and to maintain harmonious working relationships with professional, paraprofessional, and non-professional employees.Registered Nurse/ Licenses Practical Nurse Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited nursing program and either currently licensed or license-eligible as a Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Kansas.Preferred experience working with:Children or adolescentsIntellectual or developmental disabilitiesPsychiatric disordersInpatient or residential settingBe at least 18+ years of ageOther Job Details:LPN wages start at $27 -RN wages start at $34 -RN PRN is $37 -LPN PRN is $30Weekend shift differential $3.50/hrFull time EVENING and OVN needs.
