- # Senior Technician, Maintenance (Instrumentation) - Belvidere, NJBelvidere (NJ), United StatesApply NowFind out how well you match with this jobJob ID: 81856**Senior Technician Maintenance (Instrumentation)****Location: Belvidere, NJ****Monday – Friday 7:00AM – 3:30PM**As a **Senior** **Technician**, you will be responsible for conducting a variety of Maintenance activities (e.g., PM’s breakdowns, repairs, rebuilding, etc.) to optimize plant equipment and support the production of quality chemical intermediates, energies and finished products to a pre-determined operations plan. Performs specialized predictive and preventive maintenance equipment inspections; troubleshoots, plans and installs and /or modifies plant equipment and related systems in accordance with Key Performance Measure, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety/regulatory requirements, and divisional goals.At dsm-firmenich people are at the heart of the company. We are committed to equal employment opportunities and value diversity in the workplace.**Key Responsibilities:*** Fill out and review Permit Cliqs (work permits) in conjunction with operation personnel prior to starting a job.* Ensure all lockout - tagout procedures are followed.* Locate equipment problem and discuss potential causes.* Recommend practical solutions of technical problems.* Diagnose problems and repair VFD’s, PLC’s, motors with associated controls, protective devices, breakers, fuses, overloads, relays, conduit & cable, transmitter calibration controllers, switches and metrology.* Trouble shoot, assess, inspect, adjust, and make repairs as needed to facility flow, pressure, temperature, and level instrumentation. Must be able to function/cross train in primary craft.* Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job including but not limited to maintenance of process equipment in shop floor situations.The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location.
