Kitchen Steward

This position involves washing dishes, pots, pans, and performing kitchen area cleaning tasks at the Doubletree by Hilton Jacksonville Airport. Responsibilities Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils and other cutlery items; return items to designated storage areas Clean work tables, refrigerators, freezers, ovens, stoves, and other kitchen equipment Sweep and mop floors in assigned areas Collect, empty kitchen, dining room, and employee break room garbage into dumpster Filter and maintain fryer as needed Steam clean carts and floor mats Keep Utility Aide supply area clean and orderly; notify Executive Chef of supplies needs Store and use sanitation solutions and/or other kitchen chemicals according to labeling specification and/or company policy Deliver food carts, trays, etc., to designated areas as directed Follow safety regulations and participate in-service training Report all hazardous conditions and/or accidents/incidents to the Executive Chef Work during emergency situations including natural disasters as required Benefits Competitive pay Medical insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Disability insurance Life insurance Paid time off Employee assistance program Employee referral program Employee discounts at Hilton Hotels and Resorts 401(k) matching 7 paid holidays Qualifications Housekeeping experience desirable Engaging and pleasant personality, enjoys meeting new people Good time management skills Ability to work on feet for extended periods Effective communication skills Physical ability to move, traverse, reach corners, and position self to reach high places Ability to move loads up to 100 lbs and lift up to 25 lbs Comfortable operating equipment such as spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads, and dusters Compensation Hourly rate: $15.00 per hour.
