PROJECT PLANNING MANAGER - Hybrid

Project Planning Manager – Greater Atlanta, Georgia We are working with a growing, well-established (over 80 years), global, and fully vertical manufacturer of high-quality luxury carpet and rugs for the home, commercial, and hospitality sectors (including the world’s leading hotels, casinos, resorts, and cruise ships). The company is looking for a Project Planning Manager in their Greater Atlanta Georgia office. The position will report to the President and will have supervisory responsibility for 6 Project Planners. Ideal candidates will have experience in Project Management, Planning, Estimating, Installation, etc. preferably in the hospitality or commercial space. AutoCAD experience is helpful, as is a carpet or flooring background. Other backgrounds considered would be interiors, Architectural, A&D, etc. Project Planning Responsible for the day-to-day management of Project Planning Department (currently 6 Team Members) and the delivery of a market leading Planning Service including: Reviewing new Projects sent to Planning Department and assigning/disposing of those as required Agreeing on the requirements / deliverables for each Project with the assigned team member and Sales Monitoring the progress of each Project in line with agreed deliverables to both Sales and Manufacturing Optimize workflow within the department to meet internal and external customer expectations. Providing guidance and assistance to team members as required Coaching and mentoring team members to foster professional and technical development. Coordinating site visits to confirm as built conditions as required Recruiting new team members as required with emphasis on experience and technical competence Technical Assessments Work with Sales Team / Design to discuss and agree to technical limits on a project by-project basis Pre-Installation / Installation Responsible for day-to-day customer / contractor installation interaction, including: Assessing quality related reports generated by Manufacturing Operations and disposing of them as required Assessing and responding to technical installation queries as required Attending pre-installation meetings to review and explain installation documentation and to address any contractor questions as required Attend site to review / provide technical assistance with installation as required Pre-Production – Other Responsible for the coordination of Design and Planning once a project moves to pre-production and is being prepared for manufacture Ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to Supporting other departments as required Carrying out any other duties as deemed necessary and reasonable by management All Candidates must be able to provide work related references. 3 days in office, 2 work from home #J-18808-Ljbffr Rush & Company
