Job Summary The Patient Service Specialist is responsible for managing front-office operations and providing administrative support in an outpatient clinical setting. This position serves as the welcoming face of the clinic, assisting patients with registration, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, maintaining medical records, and ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and committed to providing outstanding service to every patient. Essential Functions Welcome patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism and compassion. Register patients and verify demographic, insurance, and billing information. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments. Answer incoming phone calls and assist callers courteously. Collect co-pays and patient payments. Assist patients with required forms and documentation. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records. Support providers and clinical staff with administrative needs. Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient clinic operations. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area. Perform all duties in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Complete additional clerical and administrative tasks as assigned. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or equivalent. Strong customer service and communication skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications. Preferred One (1) year or more of experience in customer service, patient registration, or a medical office setting. Previous healthcare experience. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
