Summary See below for important information regarding this job. Duties Performs causative research to resolve critical inventory discrepancies. Performs extensive research on inventory discrepancies and imbalances identified through warehouse denials, customer complaints/inquiries, physical inventory counts, location surveys, special inspections, etc. Determines the causes of discrepancies and makes or coordinates appropriate adjustments to correct inventory records and documents. Processes Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDRs), through research and resolution. Performs Shelf-Life updates and Care of Supplies in Storage (COSIS) on stock as required. Participates in evaluating and analyzing trends for inventory discrepancies. Assists specialists in the analysis of automated systems and the implementation of new applications. May operate material handling equipment (MHE) such as forklifts and stock selectors to move material. Creditable specialized experience includes: Conducting physical inventories and location surveys. Investigating stock/record/material discrepancies impacting inventory balances or Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDRs). Preparing reports concerning results of investigations performed. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Physical Demands Work is performed in office settings and warehouses. Work requires standing on hard surfaces maintaining balance for extended periods of time. Requires bending, stooping, reaching and twisting in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds. Heavier items may lift greater weights with assistance from others or using materials handling equipment. Must be capable of accomplishing emergency escape procedures from a captive aisle stock selector at heights of 40 feet and aisle mobile hybrid crane at heights of 62 feet. Work Environment The work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts that require special safety precautions such as working around moving parts, carts, or machines; exposure to adverse weather conditions; or exposure to irritant chemicals.
