About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Accounting (Controller) to take on a pivotal leadership role within the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the accounting function, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the month-end close process, and managing the preparation of financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP. This role also involves overseeing the general ledger, account reconciliations, and technical accounting matters, as well as partnering with FP&A and leadership on financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. The VP of Accounting will be the primary contact for external auditors, ensure compliance with internal controls, and lead a team of accounting professionals, fostering their development and supporting system implementations and process improvements. Applicants for the VP of Accounting (Controller) position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with a CPA strongly preferred. A minimum of 8-12 years' progressive accounting experience, including a background in public accounting and industry, is required. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a Controller or Assistant Controller role, a strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting, and a proven track record of leadership in managing and developing teams. Experience in a PE-backed or fast-paced environment is highly valued, as is the ability to communicate effectively and operate in a dynamic setting. The role demands a professional who can partner cross-functionally with operations and executive leadership on key initiatives and is adept at driving process improvements and scalability.
