Job Description

Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping, collecting trash, etc. Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls, etc. Maintain and inspect electrical circuitry Install appliances and equipment Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation) Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm) Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations Report to a facilities or maintenance manager or general manager for issues Install and/or repair heating and refrigeration units Paint interior and exterior surfaces Perform custodial duties as necessary Assist in preparing job estimates as required Follow safety policies and procedures Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Must have the ability to pass a background check of 10 years, per airport requirements Must have the ability to pass a drug screen prior to start date and at random during employment Must possess a valid state driver's license Highly preferred High School or GED diploma Highly preferred at least 1 year experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience Highly preferred prior facility maintenance experience Preferred successful completion of an apprenticeship Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis Must read, write, and fluently speak and understand the English language Must read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos Must write routine correspondence Must be able to effectively present information and update status on a one-on-one basis, and at times to a small group such as vendors, contractors, clients, coworkers. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must have basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Must have experience using hand and electrical tools. Must have the ability to read technical manuals and drawings. Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Must have the physical stamina and dexterity for the kind of work described.
