Job SummaryThe Conversion Set-Up Operator III is responsible for all responsibilities of the Conversion Machine Operators as well as keeping rolls set-up for continuous run of Conversion Machines with minimal down time.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesKeep Conversion Operators supplied with cartons, skids and other supplies for ordersPerforms machine set up and changeoversTakes direction from Conversion Supervisor for processing jobsPerforms material inspectionsEnsures rolls are spliced when previous roll finishesPerforms machine troubleshootingPerforms equipment maintenance and minor repairsCompletes quality control documentationPerforms material inspection per SQF requirementsEnsures work areas are kept clean and in conformance with Good Manufacturing PracticesEnsures work activities are performed according to SQF procedures and requirementsReports downtime when assigned to a lineReports any equipment malfunctions or other abnormal condition to Production ManagementMaintains a safe work area and adhere to all Company safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manualsWorks well in a team environmentWorks scheduled shifts with predictable and reliable attendance, adhering to department schedulePerforms various special projects and other duties as assignedQualificationsRequiredHigh School Diploma or GED1 year of Conversion Machine operator experienceAdvanced knowledge of all machines and be able to perform adjustments needed for machines to run efficientlyWorking ConditionsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
