Payer Contracting Specialist

To support the Extended Credentialing Services team, the part-time temporary Payer Contracting Specialist will manage the submission of applications for in-network healthcare payer contracts while maintaining communication with clients and payers throughout the contracting process. Key responsibilities Submit contract requests and applications to obtain network participation with commercial and MCO payers Follow up with payers on the status of requests and ensure all supporting documentation is submitted Maintain consistent communication with clients, providing updates on the progress of the contracting process Required qualifications 1-2 years of experience in provider enrollment, credentialing, or understanding of the payer contracting life cycle Experience with contracting for both commercial and MCOs Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CAQH, Availity, and OnBoard Pro High School Diploma required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in Business or healthcare preferred Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work with a sense of urgency
