Controller

Our client is hiring a Controller to join their growing Finance team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is an opportunity to make a significant impact by leading the accounting function, developing a high-performing team, and helping build the financial infrastructure for a rapidly growing North American business. This is an ideal role for a hands-on accounting leader who enjoys improving processes, mentoring others, and driving operational excellence. What You’ll Get to Do Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Manage, mentor, and develop a team responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general accounting functions. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial analyses. Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, banking activities, fixed assets, and cash flow management. Manage sales tax, business licensing, and other regulatory compliance reporting and filings. Partner with executive leadership to provide financial reporting, business insights, and strategic analysis. Support annual audits and strengthen internal controls across the organization. What You Need to Succeed Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities. Construction or manufacturing industry experience preferred. Canadian tax and accounting experience preferred. ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics is a plus). Why Join Our Client?
