Sales Systems and Solutions Consultant

Summary Are you ready to shape the future of retail operations and make shopping faster and simpler for millions of customers? Lidl US is looking for a dynamic Sales Systems & Solutions Consultant to lead the strategic planning, implementation, and optimization of our front‑end store technologies. In this role, you will serve as the critical bridge between International Headquarters, IT specialists, and the operational reality of our store floor. You are a natural connector who can translate data and feedback into a seamless store experience, ensuring that our entire checkout area – including both traditional manned registers and self‑checkout systems – along with our Electronic Shelf Label (ESL) systems run flawlessly. What You’ll Do Essential Functions Project Leadership: Drive the end‑to‑end rollout, testing, and optimization of core store technologies across the entire checkout zone (both regular manned registers and self‑checkout) and Electronic Shelf Labels (ESL). Monitor timelines, budgets, and operational quality, including presenting to senior leadership. The Perfect Customer & Store Journey: Look at store systems through the eyes of both our customers and store teams. Translate frontend data, feedback, and system performance into concrete improvements that increase adoption and operational efficiency. Process Optimization (ESL & Front‑End): Oversee the integration of ESL systems and checkout solutions to ensure real‑time pricing accuracy, seamless inventory management support, and reduced manual workload for store associates. Stakeholder Management: Align cross‑functional departments (from IT and Procurement to Regional Operations). Act as a strategic liaison to ensure tech initiatives support broader business objectives. International Collaboration: Partner with global colleagues to share best practices, implement international standards, and test innovative market pilots. What You’ll Need Experience: 3–5 years of experience in project management, preferably within a fast‑paced retail or commercial environment. Experience with store automation, front‑end systems, checkout optimization, or digital store solutions (like ESL) is highly preferred. (PMP Certification is a plus). Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Technology, or a related discipline. The 'Bridge' mindset: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels – translating complex IT into practical store solutions. Analytical & proactive: Strong problem‑solving skills with a hands‑on approach to turning raw performance data into actionable store improvements. Autonomy & organization: A natural organizer who keeps a helicopter view and thrives in a high‑growth, dynamic environment. While you will join a highly collaborative and supportive team, you must be self‑driven, capable of working independently, and skilled at managing your own priorities. Physical Job Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times Travel Requirements This position commutes between stores, regional offices, and/or distribution centers up to 30% of the time.
