Opportunity In Corrections Nursing
This is a terrific opportunity to stack shifts and do it in a controlled, secure setting centralized in Phoenix for easy access from all parts of the city. Corrections RNs will:
- Implement policies and procedures
- Ensure inmate access to health care services
- Perform medical intake screenings
- Administer routine medications according to standards of care
- Understand medication uses, side effects and interactions
- Monitor and treat patients who have co-occurring substance use/psychiatric illness
- Collect blood and urine samples as necessary
- Ability to function independently
- Respond to emergent situations
- Psych understanding
- Strong assessment skills
- Perform wellness check-ups
- Assist through detox
- Monitor medical supplies
