Job Title: Deburrer Job Description

This role focuses on removing rough edges, burrs, and imperfections from machined parts used in aerospace, defense, medical, and commercial applications. You work with metal, plastic, and other materials after the manufacturing process to ensure parts meet quality standards and are ready for use or further assembly.

• Deburr a variety of machined parts according to instructions and shop planning.
• Deburr threads as specified on work orders and blueprints.
• Package and unpackage parts carefully to prevent damage and maintain part integrity.
• Stamp or mark parts as required for identification and traceability.
• Perform saw-cut operations as directed by supervision.
• Follow all related Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and work instructions.
• Exercise authorities and responsibilities described in QMS documentation and as given by the direct supervisor.
• Use hand tools to perform deburring, grinding, polishing, sanding, and general production tasks.
• Assist with assembly and other general labor tasks within the machine shop as needed.
• Inspect own work when directed, using basic measuring tools to verify accuracy and quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle parts with care.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

• Preferred experience using hand tools in deburring, grinding, polishing, sanding, assembly, or general labor within a machine shop, production, or construction environment.
• Ability to comprehend and follow shop planning and written work instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to inspect own work using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers (preferred).
• Basic understanding of proper use of preservative oils (preferred).
• Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs safely and repeatedly.
• Ability to communicate in English to follow instructions and coordinate with the team.

• Experience in an aerospace or precision machine shop environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with QMS procedures and documentation is beneficial.
• Comfort working on parts that may be used in military, commercial, and medical applications.
• Attention to detail and a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
• Reliability, flexibility, and openness to working overtime when needed.
• Strong manual dexterity and ability to work with small or intricate parts.

You work in a high-tech aerospace machine shop equipped with over 50 CNC machines, producing precision parts used in jet fighters, missiles, commercial airplanes, helicopters, satellites, race cars, medical equipment, water pumps, and other advanced systems. Some parts are used for military purposes, so candidates should be comfortable supporting this type of production. The role is on 1st shift, typically from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with one hour of overtime after the shift and additional overtime as needed. The environment is a busy manufacturing floor where safety, quality, and adherence to procedures are critical. Steel-toed shoes are required, and you can expect to work around machinery, hand tools, measuring equipment, and production materials in a structured, process-driven setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Fe Springs, CA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
