Compensation: $55.00 / hour

Description

The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients and delivers occupational therapy services, including assessment, goal setting, treatment planning, activities of daily living, and discharge planning. The role includes supervising aides, assistants, and students, coordinating therapeutic activities, educating staff, patients, and families, and maintaining updated care plans. Additional duties may include equipment setup, cleaning, and supply management as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Assesses patients for occupational therapy services through physician order validation, interviews, evaluations, and treatment planning.
• Provides and adjusts ADL interventions, evaluates outcomes, and modifies therapy plans using clinical protocols.
• Educates and counsels patients, families, and caregivers; participates in department and hospital performance improvement efforts.
• Maintains, cleans, adjusts, and removes unsafe equipment in compliance with manufacturer guidelines, infection control, and HIPAA standards.
• Completes timely, accurate documentation and billing while delivering compassionate, culturally sensitive care and collaborating effectively with the care team.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Current Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of California.
• AHA Basic Life Support.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to maintain flexibility and composure in a constantly changing environment.

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions

• This is a Per Diem position. The hospital is located at 14662 Newport Avenue, Tustin, CA 92780.
• The targeted compensation for this position is $55/hr.
