Job Title: Machine Operator Job Description This role involves measuring, cutting, and fabricating aluminum components in a manufacturing shop environment. You will operate fabrication equipment, use a tape measure accurately throughout the shift, and ensure all parts meet required specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities Measure aluminum materials accurately using a tape measure throughout the shift. Cut aluminum and other metal materials to specified dimensions using appropriate machines and tools. Operate fabrication and cutting machines safely and efficiently in a manufacturing shop environment. Fabricate aluminum components according to work orders, drawings, and production requirements. Inspect materials and finished parts to confirm they meet required measurements and quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all shop safety procedures. Monitor equipment during operation and report any issues or irregularities to the appropriate personnel. Follow production schedules and instructions to meet daily output and quality goals. Essential Skills Proven ability to measure materials accurately using a tape measure. Hands‑on experience with cutting metal, particularly aluminum, in a shop or manufacturing setting. Experience operating machines used for fabrication and cutting operations. Strong attention to detail to ensure precise measurements and high‑quality finished parts. Ability to work safely and consistently in a manufacturing shop environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Certifications related to manufacturing or fabrication are a plus. Formal schooling or training in manufacturing, fabrication, or a related field is an advantage. Familiarity with general shop practices and basic mechanical aptitude. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing shop operating on a first shift schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The facility is non‑climate‑controlled, so temperatures will vary with the seasons. You will work around fabrication and cutting equipment in an active production setting. Proper safety attire is required, including steel toe boots and safety glasses, and you will follow established safety procedures throughout the shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
