Are you a confident communicator who thrives on solving problems, negotiating solutions, and helping customers move forward? We are seeking a driven and highly organized Recovery Specialist to manage a portfolio of post-charge-off and deficiency balance accounts.

In this role, you will work directly with borrowers to understand their circumstances, identify practical repayment solutions, and minimize company losses while delivering a professional and respectful customer experience. The ideal candidate is persuasive, resilient, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

What You’ll Do

• Manage an assigned portfolio of post-charge-off and deficiency balance accounts
• Re-establish and maintain communication with borrowers to identify effective account-resolution strategies
• Build productive relationships with borrowers and help them find realistic ways to meet their financial obligations
• Negotiate payoffs, settlements, and payment arrangements within established company guidelines
• Use available skip-tracing tools and resources to locate borrowers whose contact information is missing or inaccurate
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of customer interactions, commitments, and account activity
• Meet established productivity, recovery, and account-servicing goals without sacrificing service quality
• Handle frequent customer objections and rejection with confidence, professionalism, and a solutions-focused mindset
• Follow all applicable company policies and state and federal requirements, including FDCPA and CFPB guidelines
• Represent the company professionally and respectfully during every customer interaction
