ECP Product Development Co-op

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Product Development Engineering Co-Op for its Danvers, Massachusetts office to support design and testing of next-generation heart pump and vascular access medical devices. This hands-on role involves bench testing, mechanical design using CAD, prototype development, and data analysis within a cross-functional engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute bench testing including feasibility, characterization, and design verification of medical device components
• Develop and improve test methods by defining procedures, selecting equipment, and designing fixtures
• Create and iterate mechanical designs using 3D CAD; support prototype fabrication through rapid prototyping methods
• Collect, analyze, and interpret test data; summarize results and present findings to engineering team
• Document test procedures, experimental results, and design work in technical reports and presentations

Requirements

• Currently pursuing Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, or related engineering
• Strong mechanical aptitude and enthusiasm for hands-on laboratory work and hardware troubleshooting
• Foundational knowledge of mechanical design, engineering mechanics, experimental methods, data analysis
• Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably SOLIDWORKS
• Ability to organize and analyze data using Microsoft Excel
• Permanent U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship required
• Prototyping, machining, 3D printing, or medical device experience preferred

Compensation: $23.50/hr to $52.50/hr
