CDL Class A Driver

Position Summary:
Drivers are responsible for the safe and timely transportation and delivery of hazardous chemicals to customer locations throughout the South and Southeast regions. Drivers are responsible for safely unloading chemicals while wearing the required personal protective equipment (PPE), including a full hazmat suit, and ensuring all deliveries are completed accurately and safely.
Responsibilities:
• Safely unload chemical products while wearing the required full Hazmat protective suit
• Handle and maneuver chemical hoses weighing up to 75 pounds in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Comply with all DOT regulations and company safety policies
Schedule
• Drivers are typically out 3-4 days per week
• Dispatch begins around 3:00 AM
• Average shift length is 10-11 hours
Pay
• $35.00 per hour (Straight Time Only)
• Average 50-60 hours per week
• $25 per diem for each overnight spent in the truck
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Must possess a valid Class A drivers' license (CDL)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
• Must be at least 23 years of age
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsements are required
• Must have a minimum 1 year of verifiable Class A CDL driving experience
• No more than 1 moving violation within the past 3 years
• Must pass a DOT drug screen, background check, and MVR review
• Must be able to drive late-model trucks with automatic transmissions
• Flatbed experience is preferred
