Machine Operator/Fort Lauderdale, FL Industry: Manufacturing (Recycling/Packaging) Job Summary: Join one of the largest packaging companies in the world as a Front End Loader Operator at their Fort Lauderdale production facility. Your hands‑on expertise with front end loaders will directly support the plant's efficient recycling and material flow operations, ensuring safety, organization, and productivity on the tip floor and yard. Key Skills Required: loader baler sorting maintenance operator materials waste recycling salvage Key Responsibilities: Operate a front end loader to feed baler infeed belts and maintain consistent material flow to the sort line. Organize and manage incoming material piles by grade. Clear bay doors, ramps, and floors of debris to ensure a safe, efficient workspace. Monitor materials for contaminants and remove as necessary. Communicate with baler operators and other equipment operators to coordinate material movement. Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform preventative maintenance (engine, radiator, intake filters). Complete required maintenance and safety paperwork daily. Remain vigilant for pedestrian and customer activity on the tip floor and yard. Support general housekeeping and site organization. Qualifications: Proven front end loader operating experience (not forklift/pallet jack). English reading and communication skills. Ability to pass full background clearance. Steel toe boots required; other PPE provided. Availability for rotating day shifts (6:00 AM 4:00 PM).
